I cannot believe that I have done this.

How dare you shatter, you asshole?
It only took one bad lie. How much have I actually been lied to? How much of my life has, consequently, become a lie? How does it become my fault? If you let go of a crystal glass (on Earth, in the presence of gravity) from chest height, it will fall to the ground, and, most likely, break. But you let go. You made it break. So how can you be angry when it breaks? How can you blame the glass....

Surprise! /sarcasm
“A new Fairleigh Dickinson Public Mind Poll finds that the Sunday morning political shows on television “do the most to help people learn about current events, while some outlets, especially Fox News, lead people to be even less informed than those who they don’t watch any news at all.” Read on DailyKos:...

For what you do
Like lightening in your heart, an soupçon that seems to burn hot, you’re hanging on a thread that’s bound to drop. As the curator of your core, an indicatively secure position, I’m waiting on the floor in my footprints. A sordid smile, arms gravely outstretched. I warned you. You don’t know better. Don’t touch me. I’ll catch you. I can’t do this anymore....

It’s acceptable to malfunction. It’s an ongoing process. High contrast, but not opposites, efforts are ruining everything. We’d best sit still.

You are so sure of yourself, but you’re actually incorrect. I try to correct you politely, so that the next time you talk about this, you’ll be properly-informed. You reassert yourself again, this time with an I’m-older-than-you-and-therefore-I’m-correct attitude or a similar illogical attitude, which aggravates me because I tried to be polite in correcting you and you...

My best ideas begin in the margins,
When I read, I have a pen and a slip of paper nearby - not a pad. The paper cannot be blank. A scrap piece of mail - something printed already or, at fervent last resort, a clean napkin. I find that I can only jot notes on non-white surfaces or my hand. Blank paper and large notepads are too daunting, seemingly imploring a stroke of genius. Likewise, when I write, I always have reading material...

Más rud é, lá amháin, agus a fhaigheann tú múscail go bhfuil tú ag iarraidh orm, agus a thosaíonn do chroí a iontas ar an talamh i gcás ina raibh mé in ann a bheith, tá mé ag smaoineamh gur b’fhéidir go mbainfidh tú ag teacht ar ais anseo go dtí an áit gur mhaith linn bualadh le chéile agus feicfidh tú ag fanacht dom tú ar an cúinne na sráide

Caring what the garbage men think
“Today, surprisingly, my roommate made a nice meal. Within an hour, I started throwing up. When I confronted her, she confessed that she’d used long expired ingredients, including meat, because she didn’t want the garbage men to think she’s ‘the type who wastes food.’ FML” (View the original post on fmylife.com.)
